Sherry knows that everything can be made approachable if the student is taking part of the process.  She believes that this leads to authentic education and allows the student to feel a part of the process and will help them be involved in an active learning environment.

Yes! I knew that you could see through the persona I applied to myself. I was just too scared to be myself. That's why when you encouraged my writing I began to find myself. I gained understanding from reflecting on my experiences. A majority of poems and songs I wrote in high school were written in your class. You played a major part in my rebirth into my true consciousness. You are the best teacher I have ever had, you taught me to look to myself for the answers I so desperately needed. Thank you! Love ya!
